Conestoga Farms Photography Treatment
by: Sarah Farmer & Nick Ghattas
Team Approach
We work together as a small team, both as photographers, with one of us also taking the lead on food styling. Between us, we handle all the props and set dressing, so we’re constantly shaping the scene as we go. We’ve worked together on a range of shoots, which makes the process feel really smooth on set and helps everything stay cohesive and product-forward.
Shooting Approach
Our style leans into natural, real-life environments that feel clean and unforced. We keep styling minimal and intentional, using everyday kitchen elements to support the scene without overpowering it. Our approach is centered on capturing Conestoga Farms eggs naturally golden yolk in a kitchen space that feels quietly lived in, as if something just happened or is about to. The goal is to create imagery that feels natural with a sense of presence, while still remaining clean, and product-forward.
While we prioritize a natural light look, we’re flexible in how we achieve it. We often use continuous lighting shaped to feel like natural daylight, which allows us to stay consistent throughout the shoot. When conditions are right, we’ll also take advantage of available natural light, using a mix of both to keep things efficient and visually cohesive.
Our Plan
We’ve already secured a kitchen location that aligns with the look and feel we’re aiming for (shown below), which will serve as the foundation for all in-kitchen scenes.
Alongside that, we’ll build out a simple secondary setup within the same space for surface-based imagery. With both setups running side by side, we’re able to move between them seamlessly—and since we both shoot, we can capture across both setups in parallel, keeping things efficient while still building a strong range of final images.
We’ll be sourcing props and surfaces from our combined in-house collection, allowing us to keep everything cohesive, flexible, and grounded in real, everyday elements without overcomplicating the styling.
Each setup is designed to produce multiple variations through small shifts in angle, framing, and light, so the final set feels consistent while still offering variety.
Note: All images included in this pitch are our own, selected to reflect the look, feel, and approach we would bring to this project.
INSPO/STYLE
Selected work from our past shoots that captures the tone, lighting, and setting we’d bring to this project.
LOCATION
This is the kitchen we’ve secured for the shoot. We love the natural light, the island, and the clean, neutral tones.
We can’t wait to bring this to life and have some fun with it.
